How do I know if my reservation has been confirmed?

A detailed confirmation email will always be sent to the address you used during the rental process.

Important:

If you cannot find the confirmation email in your inbox, please also check your SPAM and/or Junk Email folder.

If you need to cancel your reservation, we invite you to contact us via WhatsApp at the phone number +56 9 62236545 or by sending an email to booking@rentacaroceanic.cl. Our team will manage the cancellation of your reservation efficiently.

We want to inform you about our current refund policy: if you cancel your reservation up to one week before the scheduled date, we will refund 100% of the amount. If the cancellation occurs between one week and the day before your reservation, the refund will be 50%. However, please note that if you cancel on the same day of the reservation, we will not be able to issue any refund.

We are here to assist you at every step of the process and ensure that your experience is as comfortable and satisfactory as possible.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION:

– Identity card or passport.

– National or international driving license.

– A credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) is required to issue a guarantee voucher. It is important to note that the only insurance option on the island is the Mandatory Insurance, which does not cover material damages to the vehicles. Consequently, any damage to the vehicle during the rental period will be the full responsibility of the renter. It is important to emphasize that the Mandatory Insurance only provides coverage for physical injuries to the people involved in an accident.

Of course! We offer baby chairs or child seats at no additional cost, as a courtesy to enhance your rental experience. To request this service, simply add it in the notes section of the cart when making your reservation through our website.

Our goal is to ensure that your rental experience is as comfortable and convenient as possible.

Unlimited kilometers: In our vehicle rental service, we offer the convenience of not imposing any mileage restrictions, allowing you to enjoy your trip without any distance limits.

It is essential that the vehicle be returned with the same amount of fuel with which it was provided. This means that if the vehicle is delivered with a full tank, it must be returned full; if it is delivered with a half tank, it must be returned with a half tank.

In the event that the vehicle is not returned with the same amount of fuel, a charge for refueling will be applied according to the rate established by the rent a car.

Oceanic Rent a Car, as a general rule, does not issue conventional invoices or receipts for vehicle rentals. However, for those who require an official proof of rental, the rental agreement will serve as such and can be requested directly from the company. We highlight that, for companies, entities, or institutions that require formal invoicing for accounting or administrative reasons, we are able to provide a specific invoice. In these cases, the copy of the rental agreement will also act as your receipt.

When requesting a modification to your reservation, some information is crucial:

Additional Costs: If the modification results in an increase in the cost of the reservation, it will be necessary to pay the difference. Conversely, if the change decreases the cost of the reservation, the excess will be refunded. In case the corresponding payment is not made within the established deadline, your reservation will be canceled.

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, so we offer a courtesy waiting period of up to 1 hour beyond the scheduled return time of the vehicle, at no additional cost. However, if the delay exceeds this courtesy hour, we will be forced to charge an additional day’s rental. This is because our operations are based on a strict booking calendar, and we need sufficient time to prepare and wash the vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal condition for the next customer. Delays in returning directly affect our ability to maintain these quality standards and meet delivery times.

What to do in case of needing an extension?

If you need more time with the vehicle, it is essential to immediately notify the rental company. Lack of communication can lead to the vehicle being searched for and retained, as well as additional costs.

Unfortunately, we do not offer the option to pick up or return cars outside of our business hours, which are from Monday to Sunday, 9:00 to 20:00. We ask you to plan your vehicle pickup and return within these hours to ensure an efficient and smooth process.
